MIGUEL: Gehenna

Got hold of the book 'Gehenna' a couple of weeks ago and have been reading it on and off. For those who are not in the know, Gehenna is supposed to be White-wolf's last book on the Vampire: the Masquarade series. It talks about teh last few daws of the Kindred in the world of darkness.

Basically, the book is made up of four possible endings that the Storyteller can use depending on the type of campaign that they have been using for the last couple of years. The first ending is that Gehenna happens as a test to check on whether the Kindred has learned enough on what 'humanity' really is and on whether he should be granted a second chance. Out of the four endings this is probably the most emotional and role-playing heavy. Something my old coterie would never even dream of using.

The next ending assumes that Gehenna happens when Lilith (Adam's first wife) takes her revenge on Cain. In this ending, the characters become pawns of the first mother. It is up to the characters to break free of her control and possibly help her or cain. I think this one was used to close the Lilith series of White-wolf.

The third ending assumes that the masquarade has been breached (by the characters, no less). Chaos ensues and the Kindred non only have to fight amongst themselves and the now risen Antedeluvians, but also have to deal with the mortal world as the latter tries to understand the world of darkness (or destroy it if they do fail to understand it).

The last ending is that where the Antedeluvians do wake up and try to reach their goal of true immortality. I haven't really finished this part yet, but I think this is the one that White-wolf has used for their fiction section. I can see Cash and Rourke in this story though, coz it is here where the Tremere really have a story to tell. Maybe I'll post something about it when I'm finished with reading the book.
GENE: Toys

been trying to convince zak to buy me a couple of toys over the weekend but it seems the host is sticking to this month's budget :(

saw some .hack sign (one of my have animes) figures at the mall last saturday. there's five of hem at around three inches tall. kawaii!! (so cute!!). it's made up of three characters from the .hack sign anime (the girls) and two characters from .hack twilight (the guys). hopefully they're still there when the budget clears. (they're pretty expensive at P950 for a set of five action figures)

spend a good hour and a half at the cd place last saturday. bought a cartridge for the game boy advance but am thinking of probably bribing zak to get a playstation 2. having second thoughts though since most of the games for the console are arcade games and we all know that rico's hand and eye coordination is not that good. but then again, there are some rpg games also available on the ps2. hmmm... maybe by april.
RICO: Blogger Blocked

for some reason i can't seem to access blogger for the last month and a half. i think it has somethign to do with the version of internet explorer i'm using at home. on the other hand, the firewall at the office likewise blocks access to the site.
